THDA's COVID-19 Rent Relief Program serves Tennesseans in 91 counties; Davidson, Knox, Rutherford and Shelby counties administer their own programs. The program serves the neediest families in Tennessee so, income restrictions are in place. Families must have experienced a loss of income due to the pandemic. Residents OR landlords can start the program application process (see the red button on the COVID-19 Rent Relief program webpage) but BOTH MUST participate. Payments will go directly to the landlord or utility company.
